Who is the program for?

The Medicare GLP‑1 Bridge serves adults who meet its coverage and medical requirements. Unsure if you qualify? Book a visit for your clinician to review your eligibility.

What Medicare coverage do I need?

You need an eligible Medicare Part D plan, including qualifying Medicare Advantage plans with prescription drug coverage. We also review your medical benefits for clinical visits and ongoing care.

Is the prescription $50 a month?

Yes. Eligible members with an approved prescription pay $50 a month for participating medication through the Medicare GLP‑1 Bridge. It does not include clinical visits, monitoring or other care. The Part D deductible does not apply to Bridge medication.

What is the Medicare GLP‑1 Bridge program?

It is a temporary CMS program that helps eligible Medicare patients access certain brand-name GLP‑1 medications for weight management. The program is currently scheduled through December 31, 2027. InstantMD helps patients navigate eligibility, clinical care and ongoing support.

What will my visits cost?

Clinical services are billed separately. With Original Medicare, covered clinician services generally have 20% coinsurance after the Part B deductible. A Medicare supplement may cover some or all of that share. Medicare Advantage plans set their own costs and network rules. Lab and monitoring costs depend on coverage and the service provided.

How do I get started?

Select Get Started, share your medication preference, height, and weight, then choose a video or phone visit time. Enter your Medicare details to confirm your coverage, and your visit is booked. Your clinician reviews medical eligibility.

Why do you need my Medicare information?

InstantMD uses your Medicare information to verify coverage before the visit and identify the appropriate next step. If you need help completing the process online, contact our support team.

Do I need a smartphone for the scale?

No. The scale has its own cellular connection, so it does not need a smartphone, app, Bluetooth pairing or home Wi‑Fi. A scale is provided when remote monitoring is clinically appropriate. Readings are not monitored continuously and are not an emergency service.

Is a GLP‑1 prescription guaranteed?

No. Meeting Bridge eligibility criteria does not mean a GLP‑1 is medically appropriate for you. Your licensed clinician makes the prescribing decision, and medication access also requires the applicable authorization.

What happens at my first visit?

Meet a clinician by video or phone to review your health, prescription history, goals, and Bridge eligibility. Discuss treatment options, possible side effects, and any labs needed. Additional records or testing may be required before eligibility or treatment can be confirmed.

Can I use my own pharmacy?

Your prescription can be sent to a participating pharmacy you choose. Bridge medication must be processed through the program for the $50 copay to apply. Delivery availability and any delivery charges depend on the pharmacy.

What if I do not qualify for the Bridge?

Your clinician reviews Bridge eligibility during your visit. If the program is not a fit, your clinician or Medicare plan may explain other coverage pathways. An alternative prescription or coverage is not guaranteed.

How long is the program available?

The program is currently scheduled through December 31, 2027. Program rules and covered medications can change.

What if I have side effects?

Contact your care team for guidance. Ongoing medication management can include side-effect review and treatment adjustments when clinically appropriate. Your clinician can also discuss hydration, protein, appetite changes, food choices and activity. Messaging is not an emergency service.

What if I have diabetes or sleep apnea?

Patients with type 2 diabetes, moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea, or qualifying noncirrhotic MASH generally use the Part D coverage pathway for those indications rather than the Bridge. Your clinician and plan can review the appropriate pathway and its requirements.
